Kachina and the Flying Bones - Dog Print

Kachina was our very first dog, and her incredible presence led us to grow our dog family exponentially, each new member a rescue or wandering lost puppy. Her mom was a resident of the Navajo Nation, and how she ever made it to Florida remains unknown history. However, Kachina's arrival followed upon our first trip to Santa Fe, by which I was inspired to do this painting. Kachina left us after only five too-short years, but remains strongly in our hearts, and is memorialized as forever chasing winged bones through the New Mexico skies.
